Four Pirates Named All-Conference

Pensacola State College is proud to announce that four members of the Pirate softball team have been recognized with postseason honors by being named to the All-Panhandle Conference teams.
Freshman Katelyn Morgan earned First Team All-Panhandle honors and was the only freshman on the team to receive recognition. She also secured a spot on the Second Team All-State. Morgan led the Pirates offensively, batting .405 with seven doubles and three home runs, making an immediate impact in her debut season.
Sophomore pitcher Yala Zwakman, from Alkmaar, Netherlands, was also named to the First Team All-Panhandle. As the team's top pitcher, Zwakman threw 125.2 innings, recorded 10 wins, and struck out 96 batters, anchoring the Pirates' pitching staff with consistency and poise.
Gabbie York earned Second Team All-Panhandle honors for the second time in her career. The outfielder batted .358 this season, tallying seven doubles and five home runs, and continued to be a reliable force in the Pirates' lineup.
Kylie Jarman, a left-handed pitcher from Prattville, Alabama, was also named to the Second Team All-Panhandle. Jarman pitched 60 innings, collecting four wins and two saves while striking out 48 batters.
